Opioid Abatement Community Input
Opioid Abatement Community Input
The opioid epidemic continues to impact communities across the nation and here at home. The Virginia Beach Department of Human Services wants to learn from our residents what programs and services it can continue to offer, expand, or begin providing.
We Value Your Feedback
Following a court case, the Commonwealth of Virginia settled its lawsuit with prescription opioid manufacturers and distributors. The City of Virginia Beach agreed to participate in these settlements, which resulted in funds being made available to the City to address the ongoing opioid epidemic.
To ensure that we are meeting the needs of our community, the Department of Human Services will hold a series of listening sessions to ensure we are delivering a community-driven and inclusive approach in the treatment options available in Virginia Beach.
A public survey is available on the "Survey" tab and will remain open through Tuesday, Oct. 31.
