Riverwalk Gate 5 Replacement
Storm Water Operations staff monitors and controls water levels along the Riverwalk utilizing Gate 5 located Southwest quadrant of E. Nueva/Jack White intersection, which is maintained by Center City Development and Operations. During the rain event on Saturday, January 10, 2021, staff discovered a malfunction at Gate 5. One side of the gate stopped functioning, leaving the right shaft closed and the left shaft open three feet. The gate is beyond repair and requires a full replacement.
