Briarmall Drainage System
Briarmall Drainage System
During heavy rainstorms, the Briarwick development is impacted due to two sources. The first is due to the upstream CPS property; this property drains towards the rear fence line of Briarwick properties abutting CPS impacting backyards. The second source is a storm water outfall drainage structure located on CPS property that conveys runoff from the Village at Knollcreek. A concrete channel on Briarmall serves as the runoff collection point for the two runoff sources. When overwhelmed, the concrete channel overtops and impacts abutting properties.
This project proposes to construct a storm water system comprised of channels, inlets, and an underground storm system to better capture, contain, and convey storm water downstream.
