Castleridge/Slick Ranch Floodplain Improvements
Castleridge/Slick Ranch Floodplain Improvements
This project was previously funded for a Preliminary Engineering Report in FY 2014 due to massive flooding during the May 2013 floods. The report found that 451 properties ($39.3M) are in the 100-year floodplain. The report recommended the best viable solution as widening and deepening Slick Ranch Creek from State Hwy. 151 to 3100 feet downstream of State Hwy. 151. The project will remove about 395 properties ($27.3M) from the 100-year floodplain. The proposed channel will be a natural earthen channel.
