Multimodal Transportation Commission

The Multimodal Transportation Commission (MTC) has the principal duty of acting as an advisory body to the Transportation Director on exceptions to the Complete Streets Policy. The Commission also serves as a recommending body for reviewing and updating policies, procedures, and plan metrics, benchmarks, and amendments to City Code. The Commission will receive regular staff updates on Transportation Department plans, policies, and projects.

The commission comprises 13 members: 10 City Council-appointed members, one (1) member appointed by the Mayor, one (1) member appointed by VIA, and one (1) member appointed by the Alamo Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (AAMPO).

The commission meets quarterly beginning October 2025; City Tower, Large Conference Room A, Concourse, 100 W. Houston St., Downtown San Antonio.
