Your survey responses on general topics such as growth, preservation of open space and housing have helped shape the content of Phase Two of the public input process. Respondents frequently emphasized the importance of preserving green spaces and natural areas, with many expressing concerns about overdevelopment and the loss of local character [e.g.. There was strong support for improving public transportation and pedestrian infrastructure, including safer sidewalks and bike paths. Affordable housing was a recurring topic, with calls for more diverse housing options to meet community needs. Several respondents highlighted the need for better community engagement and transparency in planning decisions. Comments also mentioned the desire for more local businesses and amenities, rather than large chain stores, to foster a sense of community. Concerns about traffic congestion and the impact of new developments on existing infrastructure were raised multiple times. Some respondents suggested prioritizing sustainability and environmental protection in all future planning efforts.
